have been scratching my head for weeks on how to integrate my PERL application (with flexible XML API) into drupal.

I'm building a travel website and would like to use the features of my application, called Touristway, within my drupal site.

I actually don't need touristway data to appear in Drupal, but i however i do need both application to communicate. I don't mind redirecting the user to touristway's url to pick beds and dates, but I wrote a bullet list of how i need drupal to communicate with Tway (and vice versa):

• When a user searches for accommodation by date, only the hostels with vacancy on this date (according to touristway data) show up in drupal's table view.

• When a user creates a login (in drupal or touristway), the account needs to be created in the other platform also (sync user registration/edits)

• Everytime an action is performed in touristway (booking, modification, ...), this action is synced in Drupal, so i can use triggers&actions to manage auto-emails and other management procedures.

• Ultimately, I would like each booked item (on touristway) to be placed in a basket (ubercart, "my basket" with flag module?,...) with the correct price and description. Once the traveler has finish booking items, he can finalize his booking by entering his credit card details (auth only) - we don't charge money but collect our commission directly from our partners.

We are comfortable that there are suitable modules for the directory and profiles aspect but will need consultancy and custom development work to design and create the module structure for the above aspect.

Carousel30, an Interactive Media firm, seeks a full time Drupal Developer to work on site at our Old Town Alexandria office. We offer health, dental, and a 401(k), after a probationary period. Our atmosphere is laid back and we offer flexible schedules. We are a small organization and keep a tightly knit team of professionals with several years of experience.

The position requires a candidate with the capacity to handle multiple projects. We are looking for someone to take the load off of our programmers and our front end staff. The candidate should have at least three years experience in the field, and able to work both independently and on a team.

Skills required for the position include:

• Drupal 6+
• Creating Modules for Drupal 6+
• Themeing for Drupal 6+
• PHP
• CSS
• MySQL
• JavaScript and jQuery

Great to haves:

• OOP Knowledge
• Experience with one or more: .NET, Java, Perl, ActionScript, Objective-C

Must be willing to commute to our office in Old Town, Alexandria, located 3/4 of a mile from King Street Metro Station.
